An LED and its manufacturing method are provided to prevent the degradation of the LED due to the convergence of current, to restrain the decrease of lifetime and to improve a light emissive efficiency by forming a conductive structure with a high reflectivity and a low resistivity between an active layer and a substrate. A lower layer(110), an active layer(140) and an upper layer(150) are sequentially stacked on a substrate(100). A conductive structure(120) is arranged in the lower layer. An insulating pattern(130) is formed on the resultant structure to cover partially an upper surface and a sidewall of the conductive structure. First and second electrodes are formed on the resultant structure to contact the lower and upper layers, respectively.
