A power control device for image display device and its method relates to a display device. The power control method of the image display device includes: a phase of sensing the temperature; a phase of outputting the given power stabilization timestamp in advance corresponding to the sensed temperature; a phase of providing power to the light of the display module and computing the power supply time; a phase of providing power to the mainboard of the display module when the power supply time is corresponding to the power stabilization time. The power control device of the image display device includes: a convertor driving the light; a display module for the mainboard; a memory; a temperature sensing part for sensing the ambient temperature and the temperature of the light; a control part for supplying power to the mainboard when the power supply time is corresponding to the power stabilization time. The invention can adjust the supply timing based on the power stabilization time changing with the ambient temperature thereby avoiding the unnecessary time to delay the opening power. |
