A laundry dryer and a control method of the same are provided to remove or prevent wrinkles on the dried clothes without additionally ironing by equipping a drum, a hot air heater, a steam generator, and at least one filter. A laundry dryer comprises a drum selectively rotating; a hot air heater for heating air to supply high temperature hot air to the drum; a steam generator for making steam to be supplied with the drum; at least one filter(330,340) filtrating water supplied with the steam generator; and a water softening member(350) softening water fed with the steam generator. The filter is a group of plural filters having the different filtrating performances. A water supply source(300) supplying water to the steam generator is detachably mounted. The water supply source is composed of a lower housing(310) and an upper housing(320) detachably mounted on the lower housing. |
