<p>A system for controlling the transmission power of digital broadcasting signals and a digital broadcasting terminal therefor and a method therefor are provided to enable the digital broadcasting terminal to request transmission power control to a broadcast center by using a base station, thereby providing the digital broadcasting service with good quality to a user. A method for controlling the transmission power of digital broadcasting signals in a digital broadcasting terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving digital broadcasting signals from a broadcast center in the digital broadcasting terminal(S301); analyzing a BER(Bit Error Rate) for the MSC(Main Service Channel) reception of the digital broadcasting signal(S302); inserting power control information according to the BER to a power control bit for mobile communication if the analyzed BER is less than a preset threshold value(S304,S307); transmitting the power control bit inserting the power control information to the broadcast center through a base station(S308); and receiving the digital broadcasting signal of which a transmission power level is controlled according to the power control information from the broadcast center.</p> |
