PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply filtering processing to input images in order to perform identification without, if possible, being influenced by illumination fluctuation to be the cause of the decline of an identification rate in object recognition using images, and to extract a feature amount intrinsic to an object. SOLUTION: An object recognition device 100 comprises an image input part 101, an object detection part 102, a diffuse reflection image generation part 103, an object model storage part 104, a difference image generation part 105, a weight calculation part 106, a weighted gaussian filter application part 107, a filtering processing part 108, and an identification part 109. Weight to be given to a weighted gaussian filter is decided by considering the illumination conditions of respective pixels of the input image and the difference of reflection characteristics, and the filtering processing is applied.
