AUTOMATIC TICKET GATE, AND MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to determine an appropriate maintenance timing of a medium conveying apparatus of an automatic ticket gate.

SOLUTION: A management device K disposed in the automatic ticket gate sequentially stores detection signals output from medium detection means S2 to S4 in a storage device. An arithmetic device calculates a delivery time T1 from the difference in medium detection time between the medium detection means S2 and S3 at both ends of a delivery part 2, and calculates an alignment time T2 from the difference in medium detection time between the medium detection means S3 and S4 at both ends of an alignment part 3. The delivery time T1 and alignment time T2 are stored for a predetermined number of conveyance. If either average value is a reference value or higher, an anomaly such as a belt or pulley deterioration is determined, and necessary maintenance such as belt or pulley replacement or contact pressure adjustment is performed. The state of the medium conveying apparatus can be quantified according to the medium conveying times to accurately determine any need for maintenance such as adjustment or part replacement. The time data is acquired from the medium conveying apparatus in operation to accurately reflect the current status of the device.
