PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flag with which a fray on a fly end of a fly can be effectively prevented and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The flag is formed by using the fly 10' made of cloth and is provided with a sewn portion 13 extending along the fly end on the fly end side of the fly. The fly is provided with a reinforcing portion 14 extending in the breadth direction of the fly and consisting of one or more pad stitches intersecting with the stitches (extending along the fly end) in the sewn portion.
