<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display characteristics, when an image display device, enabling a viewer to view a different image according to the viewer's position relative to the display surface, is turned into a color image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display device where a plurality of projectors 1 are arranged, according to the arranging direction of parallax images displayed on the display surface and a predetermined image of the parallax images formed on the display surface by the plurality of projectors 1 is selectively made to reach the viewer by a parallax image selection means, the projector 1 is equipped with a plurality of modulation elements 501 to 503, respectively modulating different color light beams; a compositing means 700 for compositing the respective color light beams modulated by the modulation elements 501 to 503 and emitting the light beam in a predetermined direction; and a projection means 600 for projecting the color light beam composited by the compositing means 700 to the display surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
