PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner driver with which a user can switch scanners without trouble to retrieve and initiate "scanner selection utility" through another method. SOLUTION: A scanner driver comprises a button for directly initiating "scanner selection utility" on a warning panel on which a warning is displayed in a situation where no scanner is available, in order to achieve smooth switching operation while a plurality of scanners are existent and shared on a network.
