PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming apparatus which can form an annular formed body having uniform density by compacting powder material, and further to provide a press forming method and a powder supplying method. SOLUTION: The forming apparatus 11 comprises a die 1 having a through-hole 9 formed therein, a lower punch 2 which is fitted into the lower end portion of the die 1 and forms a cavity 5 in cooperation with the die 1, a core pin 3 penetrating the central axis of the lower punch 2, a feeder 4 for supplying the powder material into the cavity 5, and an upper punch 7 which can be fitted into the upper end portion of the through-hole 9 after the feeder 4 has moved. When the powder material is formed, the upper punch 7 and the lower punch 2 are pressed so as to approach to each other, and compresses the powder material inside the through-hole 9 from above and below, respectively.
