PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can input corresponding signals to a plurality of kinds of liquid crystal cells while using components in common, and an inspecting device for a liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a relay conversion substrate 6 which is connected to a signal output circuit and a liquid crystal cell and receives an output signal of the signal output circuit to output it to the liquid crystal cell, and the substrate 6 is provided with a relay wiring pattern 8a which outputs the output signal with the number of lines corresponding to liquid crystal cells A, a conversion wiring pattern 8b which outputs the output signal with the number of lines corresponding to liquid crystal cells B different in kind from the liquid crystal cells A, connector FFCs 71ax, 72ax, 7ay, 71bx, 72bx, and 7by which switch the flow passages of the output signal to one of the wiring patterns 8a and 8b by engagement of FFCs 51ax, 52ax, 6ay, 51bx, 52bx, and 5by, and a voltage switching circuit 9 which switches the voltage level of the output signal to a level corresponding to the liquid crystal cell A or liquid crystal cell B by turning ON/OFF a switch S.
