DEVICE FOR POSITIONING GLASS PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for positioning a glass plate, which needs no expensive actuator and no control unit for the actuator when the positioning of the glass plate is performed and is also suitable for continuous work. SOLUTION: The device for positioning the glass plate is equipped with a transfer unit 9 for transferring the glass plate S2 in a nearly horizontal state and a positioning mechanism 2 for positioning the glass plate S2 transferred by the transfer unit 9 in a predetermined position. The positioning mechanism 2 is constituted of a stopper 10 which is brought into contact with the edge part of the front side in the transfer direction of the glass plate S2 in a nearly horizontal state to position the glass plate S2 and a plurality of free rotating rollers 11 for alignment which position the glass plate S2 transferred by guiding it while being brought into contact with the other edge parts of the glass plate S2 so that the glass plate S2 is brought into contact with the stopper 10. The stopper 10 and the plurality of free rotating rollers 11 for alignment are each provided at a fixed position relative to the transfer unit 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
