PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retreaded tire capable of easily bringing a meridional cross-section shape of the retreaded tire to a regular shape, even when difference between an outside surface shape of a retreaded surface 21 and a regular outside surface shape is different in each width direction position; and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A base tire, a cushion rubber layer provided on the outside of a retreaded surface of the base tire, and a retreaded tread rubber bonded to the outside of the cushion ribber layer are provided. The cushion rubber layer is made by supplying rubber of required supplying amount to the retreaded surface 21 in a shape of a rubber strip 51 and spirally winding that, on the basis of the difference between the outside surface shape of the retreaded surface of the base tire and the regular outside surface shape after removing the retreaded tread rubber from the retreaded tire in each width direction position.
