PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling the easy insertion of paper into a body without skewing the paper and a reduction in size and having a manual paper feed tray providing an image printing method. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises the body 100 having a printing unit 60, a paper insertion opening 101, and a carrying unit 40 feeding the paper P inserted into the paper insertion opening 101 to the printing unit 60 and a tray 200 guiding the paper P inserted into the paper insertion opening 101. The tray 200 is rotatably installed in the body 100 so as to be moved to a first position for guiding the paper P or a second position overlapped with the body 100. Since the tray can be stored to be overlapped with the body when it is not used, the paper can be stably manually inserted into the body without skewing also the downsized image forming apparatus.
