PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing nanoparticles with a high reaction yield by controlling the temperature and the number of the nuclei of nanoparticles being generated in a nanoparticle preparation microreactor. SOLUTION: The method for preparing nanoparticles is characterized in that a raw material solution containing reaction precursors to form nanoparticles each having a particle size of a nanometer order is heated at a first temperature T1 for a first period to cause the precursors to react to form nuclei of nanoparticles, which nuclei are subsequently heated at a second temperature T2 not higher than the first temperature T1 for a second period to cause them to grow into nanoparticles. The first temperature T1 and/or the second temperature T2 are varied to control the size of the resulting nanoparticles. The raw material solution to form the nanoparticles is a mixture of a DMSO solution of zinc acetate and an octanol solution of tetramethyl ammonium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
