Inside the cylindrical pressure casing (1), a structure (2) with axial flow guidance sheets (3) divides the chamber into tube-filled and empty axial sections (4). These are sealed-off by external metal- or non-metal sheeting (5). This is held on radial ends of the guidance sheets by bands. Axial spacers (7) rest on some tubes. Separate supply and return arrangements are detailed for both sides of the heat exchanger. Large, triangular, longitudinal ducts are formed between tube-filled sections.
