<p>The invention relates to the design of power sequences for use in a group of sub-areas (311, 321, 331) of a wireless communication system. Each power sequence defines for one of the sub-areas (311, 321, 331) transmission power values for transmissions using a respective one of a plurality of medium access units. For each of the sub-areas (311, 321, 331) of the group, reception quality values are determined for transmissions between an access station (310, 320, 330) serving the sub-area (311, 321, 331) and mobile stations (350) located at an edge of the sub-area (311, 321, 331). The reception quality values allow meeting system requirements (steps 401, 402, 405). The reception quality values are then converted for each of the sub-areas (311, 321, 331) into transmission power values of a power sequence (steps 406, 407).</p> |
