The system has an operating lever (82) and adjustable corroding units (28, 30) mechanically coupled in such a manner that the corroding units are adjusted between opening and closed positions by actuating an actuation unit. A luggage piece is attached into a luggage rack and arranged in the luggage rack in the opening position, and the corroding units are clamped against a side rail (34) of the luggage rack in the closed position. The luggage piece is tightened at the luggage rack by another corroding unit and the corroding units (28, 30).
