METHOD OF PRODUCING POLYPSEUDOROTAXANE AND POLYROTAXANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method of producing a polypseudorotaxane in a solid phase without using a solvent and a method of producing a polyrotaxane from the polypseudorotaxane.

SOLUTION: The method of producing a polypseudorotaxane having a structure in which a chained portion of a compound B having a cyclic molecular structure penetrates through a molecular ring of a compound A having a cyclic molecular structure comprises a step (1) wherein the compound A and the compound B are pressurized/mixed in a solid phase to produce the polypseudorotaxane. And then, a polyrotaxane is produced from the polypseudorotaxane.
