PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-sided organic EL (ElectroLuminescent) display device realizing thinning and weight saving. SOLUTION: An active pixel circuit using a thin-film transistor TFT is built up on a main face of a glass substrate SUB, and an inter-layer insulating film IL is formed on an upper layer of the pixel circuit. On the inter-layer insulating film IL, an organic EL element RU1 of red (R), an organic EL element GU1 of green (G), and an organic EL element BU1 of blue (B) of a bottom emission type are arranged in a region of one color pixel in a face parallel to a face of the substrate. On this, an organic EL element RU2 of red (R), an organic EL element GU2 of green (G), and an organic EL element BU2 of blue (B) of a top emission type are laminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
