PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle which has little connection loss and allows miniaturization of an optical module, and a small-sized optical module with the optical receptacle, and also an optical module with the optical receptacle wherein optical axis alignment is easy. SOLUTION: The optical receptacle and the optical module are mounted through an optical receptacle holding sleeve which is fitted to a space between a stub ferrule and a housing and which is cylindrical in shape and engaged with the inner circumferential face of the housing.
