PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, equipment and a method for communication and program for enabling communication by which a user can enjoy advantages of a plurality of communication protocols. SOLUTION: An NFC communicating part 51 of a video camera 41 performs communication by an NFC with an NFC communicating part 71 of a remote commander 43 to thereby recognize that communication (BT communication) by Bluetooth(R) can be performed by a television receiver 42, further, a BD address of a BT communicating part 62 as communication information necessary for the BT communication. The video camera 41 switches communication by the NFC to BT communication to perform processing for starting the BT communication for the television receiver 42 on the basis of the BD addresses of the BT communicating part 62. The BT communication is performed thereafter between the video camera 41 and the television receiver 42. The present invention may be applied to electronic equipment such as a video camera or a television receiver, for example, with a communication function packaged therein.
