PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial flower produced by using optical fibers and giving unique impression different from conventional artificial flowers. SOLUTION: One ends of individual optical fibers are arranged along a line near an edge of a thin member, the other ends are bundled together, and a light-emitting device is placed at the bundled ends to form the luminous material. Since light is emitted from the ends of the optical fibers arranged along an edge of the thin member, light spots are appeared to be connected with each other along the shape of the edge of the light-emitting device. The invention provides an artificial flower having light spots connected with each other along the edge of a petal, calyx, leaf, etc., to give a unique atmosphere. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
