<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique more suitably adding a reducing agent to the exhaust passage of the an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This system is provided with an exhaust emission control device arranged in the exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine and controlling exhaust emission, and a reducing agent adding valve adding fuel to the upstream side of the exhaust emission control device. Fuel adding timing from the reducing agent adding valve is set to timing that exhaust discharged in the exhaust stroke of each cylinder of the internal combustion engine reaches the fuel adding position of the reducing agent adding valve, and an additive amount per one time of fuel addition from the reducing agent adding valve is changed according to a condition of flue gas discharged in one exhaust stroke in each cylinder and reaching the fuel adding position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
