<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a range to be influenced during a write error at a boundary between different applications and to improve use efficiency of an area. <P>SOLUTION: In the IC card in which EEPROM has a write unit, the card is provided with: a command reception means; a determination means for determining the kind of file area allocation on the basis of information on the kind of the file area allocation when receiving a file creation command in which the information on the kind of file area allocation has been set; and an allocation means for allocating the file area on the basis of the determination result by the determination means. When the determination means determines that the file allocation depends on the write unit, a pointer indicating the last address in the file area already allocated is increased up to the head of the write unit, and when the determination means determines that the file allocation does not depend on the write unit, the pointer is left as it is. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
