PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine accurately detecting unbalanced laundry. SOLUTION: A state of laundry in a drum is determined from a difference in rotational frequency which is corrected by an average rotational frequency when the drum 1 is driven for a predetermined conduction angle, so that the state of laundry is accurately determined to prevent vibration or noise from occurring in spin-drying.
