PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and its error handling method preventing an occurrence of an error in the electronic device and reducing a load on a user for preventing the error. SOLUTION: An application 21 of a PC20 obtains error prevention information 40 having a prevention method written thereon for preventing the occurrence of an error in a drive 10, periodically from a support center 30 or in starting the drive 10. A firmware 12 of the drive 10 refers to the obtained error prevention information 40 and sets the operation condition of the drive 10 to prevent the occurrence or an error.
