PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby a user can photograph and record a desired image and a desired video without the need for giving itself up to photographing operations by drastically improving the degree of freedom of the user. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus disclosed herein includes: a first camera 100 for photographing a first object being an object; a second camera 103 for photographing a second object being the user; a state detection section 112 for detecting state information of the destination object 131 on the basis of an image photographed by the second camera; a state detection section 112 for detecting predicted positional information being information associated with a position at which the presence of the first object is predicted; and an object photographing control section 117 for controlling the first camera to photograph the first object on the basis of the predicted positional information detected by the predicted position detection section.
