Method and proccess for filtering a signal

The method involves providing a filter (225) for forming of an output parameter dependent on an input parameter, where the filter has retarding effect on the parameter. An inner motor limiter (200) is provided for temporarily changing limit of the maximal value of the input parameter. A change of the temporarily changing limit is included directly in the output parameter. Contouring error compensation is implemented for the limit value supplied by the limiter. An independent claim is also included for a device for filtering a parameter.
