<p>The individual functionality of a first computer controlled switching system can be replicated by a second system if the operational data for the first system is merged with the system-specific data for the second system. Databases for both systems can be merged by copying specific data items from the preexisting database into the appropriate data structures for system specific data. Predefined rules for the location, use, type and other requirements of missing and requisite data elements are used to locate and merge the two databases together. <IMAGE></p> |
