<p>The wheel stop (1), designed to immobilize a vehicle backed up to a loading/unloading bay (3), consists of a projection in the form of a metal cylinder (17) that is extended from a lengthwise guide that also serves to position the vehicle in relation to the bay. The cylinder's actuating mechanism is in the form of a power cylinder linked to a vehicle tyre detector (11), and it deploys the projection by rotating it about a horizontal axis to engage with the tire surface and prevent any movement of the vehicle relative to the bay during loading/unloading operations.</p> |
