The starter has a speed reduction block with a planetary gear having a support pin (14) fixed by close fit on a part of a planet carrier (15). The carrier part has a lateral wall portion which limits displacement of a roller (3b) in the axial direction. An outer part of a clutch (3a) is integrally formed with the wall portion, and is rotatably supported through a bearing (19) by a front axial end portion of an armature shaft (9a). |
