A portable filter for generating mineral water and a method thereof are provided to be used in a capsule structure filled with various purifying substances for simple carrying, keeping, cleaning and exchanging thereof in the expanded use with beverage containers. A portable filter for generating mineral water includes a capsule(1) formed of a body part(12) and a lid(11) having a plurality of water passing holes(2) and defining a receiving space part(3), and a leakage blocking net(4) mounted in the receiving space part of the body part and filled with mineral mixture substances(5), wherein the mineral mixture substances are formed of magnesite, magnetized balls, foamed stones, bloodstream promoting balls, tourmaline, germanium, mineral promoting materials and mineral calcium materials.
