A transmission gear ratio varying device of an automatic transmission is provided to decrease RPM(Revolution Per Minute) by keeping a vehicle in an idle state by changing a drive mode into a neutral mode when the speed is not needed to be increased or decreased while driving. The transmission gear ratio varying device of an automatic transmission is composed of an inclination angle detecting sensor(10) detecting the inclination angle of a vehicle and generating an inclination angle signal when the vehicle inclines over a predetermined angle; a brake sensor(20) generating a signal by detecting an operation state of a brake pedal; an accelerator sensor(30) generating a signal by detecting an operation state of an accelerator pedal; an inhibitor switch(50) detecting whether the automatic transmission is in a D-range or not; and a control unit(60) changing the automatic transmission to an N-range when the inclination angle detecting sensor does not generate an inclination angle signal, the brake sensor is not operated as a brake is not operated, the accelerator sensor is operated while the accelerator pedal is not operated, a vehicle speed sensor(40) detects that the vehicle speed is over 30km/H, and the inhibitor switch is operated as the automatic transmission is positioned in a D-range, and changing the automatic transmission into a D-range when the inclination angle detecting sensor generates the inclination angle signal, the brake sensor is operated as the brake is operated, the accelerator sensor is not operated while the accelerator pedal is used, and the vehicle speed sensor detects that the vehicle speed is below 30km/H. The inclination angle detecting sensor has an elliptical rotary weight shaft-installed to a pin and a contact part formed at one side and short-circuited when the rotary weight is turned by the inclination angle.
