The equipment is for the inhibition of growth of marine organisms, such as Japanese oysters, mussels and Cyprus larvae, which adhere to the hulls of vessels underwater. A vessel (5) is equipped with several electrodes (1-4) fixed on her water side. They are governed by a control unit, which causes a current with a specific resonance frequency to circulate which destroys the marine organisms. The control unit causes a current to flow from the one electrode to the others and alternately allows current to flow between different electrodes. This can occur in accordance with a given pattern or alternating patterns.
|
