A lift guide for an overhead door used as a brake is provided to cut down manufacturing cost by simplifying the structure of the lift guide and the brake, and to prevent the overhead door from falling down by turning a brake frame and a rotary bracket around a hollow shaft and pressing a guide rail with a brake shoe in cutting a wire. A lift guide(1) includes a base frame(10) installed to an end of an overhead door and provided with a connecting bracket(100) bent in a lower part, a rotary bracket(30) turning around a hollow shaft(70) by hinge-combining the connecting bracket and having a wire connector(40) and a slot, a vertical moving shaft(50) inserted to the hollow shaft and attached to a guide roller moving up and down along a guide rail, a brake frame(30) having a support member(300) inserted to the slot of the rotary bracket and a fixing member fastened in front of the rotary bracket, and a return spring(80) axially installed in the hollow shaft and supported in a lower part of the base frame and the support member of the brake frame to contact the support member of the brake frame to the guide rail by turning the rotary bracket and the brake frame with elastic force in cutting a wire. Position fixing units(101) are bent and formed in upper and lower parts of the base frame and supported in parallel with the side and the lower part of the overhead door. |
