摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow decoding corresponding to highly efficient encoding regarding a moving picture which changes in luminance over time, e.g. a fade image or dissolving image. <P>SOLUTION: A variable length decoder 303 decodes encoded data including a predictive error signal representing an error of a predictive picture signal with respect to a moving picture signal including a luminance signal and two color difference signals, motion vector information 414, a reference picture number, and index information 415 representing a combination of predictive parameters prepared in advance for each of the luminance signal and the two color difference signals and including a weight coefficient and offset information, a frame memory/predictive picture generating unit 308 generates a predictive picture signal 412 in accordance with the predictive parameters of the combination denoted by the decoded index information and the decoded reference picture number and generates a reproduction picture signal by using the predictive error signal and the predictive picture signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
