<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of operation of a weather prediction model in a parallel computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the parallel computer 2, chassis for storing a plurality of CPUs are installed in parallel, and are connected to each other. A host computer 1 assigns operation regions obtained by dividing a weather prediction object region to respective CPUs of the parallel computer 2. Each CPU calculates an atmosphere state of an operation volume specified in response to this assigning command, then interchanges it with physical quantity calculated by an adjacent CPU.
