PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that increases the storage volume of the lowest storage compartment and increases the efficiency of storage by mounting a compressor above, and facilitates the mounting of the compressor above. SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes an insulated box, a recess reentrant in the refrigerator and open at the top and back at the back of the ceiling of the insulated body, and a cover for covering the ceiling and back. In the recess, the compressor of a refrigeration cycle and a mounting plate on which the compressor is mounted via shock absorbers are disposed.
