PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a satisfactory image with adequate horizontal registration even when the image is formed on both surfaces. SOLUTION: Oblique moving of a sheet P is prevented by an obliquely moving correcting means 2 provided on an upstream side of an image forming part and equipped with an abutting plate 21 capable of moving to a width direction perpendicular to a sheet carrying direction, and an obliquely sending means 22 obliquely sending the sheet and abutting it to the abutting plate 21. A position change amount of the sheet P after the image is formed on the single surface and before the sheet P reaches the obliquely moving correcting means 2, which is calculated in advance, is stored, and a position of the abutting plate 21 is moved from the position where the image is formed on the single surface in accordance with the stored position change amount when the image is formed on a back surface of the sheet.
