<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an IC card reader/writer simple by reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card reader/writer comprises: a housing (12) having a bottom part (20) and a sidewall (21); a slide plate (13) arranged in parallel with the bottom part (20) of the housing (12) and allowed to be pressed by the end part (17) of an IC card (11) inserted into the housing (12) and slidably moved in the housing (12) up to the fall and contact position of the IC card (11); a lock lever (18) rotatably fitted to the housing (12); and an ejection member (70) to be used for ejecting the inserted IC card (11).
