PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment that eliminates the need to alter the positional relation of a lens barrel covering body with a main body part, is capable of adjusting the range of rotation of a lens barrel relative to the main body part and excellent in design. SOLUTION: The optical equipment includes: the lens barrel 11 helically engaged with the main body part 2 having an optical element; and a C-type elastic ring 3 wrapped round the periphery of the lens barrel 11 and fastens the lens barrel 1 by its restoring force. The C-type elastic ring 3 has at both its ends a first projection 31 and a second projection 32 projecting toward the main body section 2. By bringing the projections 31 and 32 into contact with a stopper 21 formed on the main body part 2, the range of rotation accompanying the helical engagement of the lens barrel 11 is restricted. Such optical equipment includes the lens barrel covering body 4 externally fitted on the periphery of the lens barrel 11 and having long holes 41a and 42a locked around the projections 31 and 32.
