A conductive contact enabling electrical characteristic inspection with high accuracy and with high reliability by easily controlling the direction of deflection when an external force is exerted and a conductive contact manufacturing method. The contact is used for setting up an electrical connection by physical contact with one of connection terminals of a circuit structure. The cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the body of the conductive contact is of an anisotropic shape with respect to the circuit structure. An insulating layer covering an area including the longitudinal central portion of the body and not including the end portions of the body may be formed.
