<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display apparatus having high energy efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The color liquid crystal display apparatus has a phosphor screen characterized in that: each color region corresponding to one pixel is distributed on an area basis according to the mixing ratio of each color light to obtain a white color; color regions corresponding to at least two colors of light in the color light producing white color by mixing the color light comprise a photoluminescent layer 15 made of phosphors 15R, 15G, 15B which emit light by excitation light; and the excitation light generating from a backlight unit 20 is modulated in a liquid crystal panel 10 to form an image, which is visualized and displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
