<p>The present invention relates to the use of S-alkylisothiouronium derivatives, including S-ethylisothiouronium diethylphosphate, for stabilizing blood pressure in hemodialysis patients. The compositions of the invention are effective in preventing hypotension in hemodialysis patients.</p>
