<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb porous body with a drug, metallic nanoparticulates and/or a coloring matter, which can also be used as a carrier for drug delivery. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb porous body with the drug, the metallic nanoparticulates and/or the coloring matter, which is composed of a water-insoluble polymer, is useful as the carrier for the sustained release of the drug and a drug delivery system, particularly, because the honeycomb porous body retains particulates composed of a polymer supporting the drug, the metallic nanoparticulates and/or the coloring matter. Particularly, since the drug is released by making the porous body retain the drug-supporting particulates, a release pattern can be more finely and freely controlled. Additionally, a scaffold for cell expansion can be provided. Since the drug required for the expansion or differentiation induction of cells is released from the scaffold, the honeycomb porous body is extremely useful for a field of regenerative medicine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
