A method of to regulate the development of pathological processes of viral potato canker includes using the weather conditions necessary for the development of the oncovirus. A plant, infected by the oncovirus, is, first, affected by meteofactors, which activate the pathogen, and effect thereof gives rise to the development of the canker disease. Then the plant affected is subjected to meteofactors in other regimes, which inactivate the parasite and create conditions for extinction of the pathological processes and sanitation of the plant.
