PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior noise processor for detecting an object approaching by emitting a sound in various traveling states. SOLUTION: This exterior noise processor is configured of a microphone 1 for picking up an exterior noise; a vehicle state detecting part 4 for detecting the state of a vehicle; a storage part 13 for storing an acoustic signal picked up by the microphone 1 by associating it with a vehicle state when the acoustic signal is picked up; a vehicle sound/vehicle state contrast storing part 15 for storing information acquired by averaging the acoustic signals in a predetermined period for each vehicle state by associating it with the state of the vehicle; a vehicle sound comparing part 16 for comparing the acoustic signal collected by the microphone 1 when the vehicle travels with the averaged information corresponding to the vehicle state when the acoustic signal is picked up; and an approach deciding part 17 for deciding that there is an object approaching the vehicle when the acoustic signal when the vehicle travels is larger and becomes larger successively than the averaged vehicle sound as the result of the comparison of the acoustic signal when the vehicle travels with the averaged information corresponding to the vehicle state at that time.
