A radio transmitting apparatus inserts a training signal, as a pilot signal, into a transport burst at given symbol intervals. A radio receiving apparatu s subjects the received burst signal to an A/D conversion and then to a symbol timing synchronization. After the symbol timing establishment, the radio receiving apparatus detects a frame position from the received burst signal, extracts the pilot signal therefrom, performs a frame synchronization and us es the pilot signal information to estimate a carrier frequency. After the fram e synchronization establishment, the radio receiving apparatus performs a carrier frequency correction for the received burst signal, and estimates, based on the received burst signal as frequency corrected, a propagation pat h distortion and outputs it. Then, the radio receiving apparatus performs a propagation path distortion correction for the received burst signal as frequency corrected, and converts the information symbol sequence of the received burst signal as propagation-path corrected to a received data bit sequence. |
