<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a driving wheel for improving workability in disassembling and reassembling while reducing the weight and size. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device for the driving wheel is constituted so that a cylindrical inner race member 5 has an inner member 8 plastically joined to a hub wheel 1, and an outside joint member 14 is separably joined in the axial direction to the inner member 8 so that torque can be transmitted, Face splines 19a and 5b are formed on an end surface of a shoulder part 19 of the outside joint member 14 and an inner end surface of the inner race member 5 opposed to this end surface. A tapered clutch surface 20a forming a large diameter is formed on the outer side on the outer periphery of a shaft part 20 of the outside joint member 14. A linear clutch 23 is constituted by storing a plurality of engaging pieces 22 in an annular wedge-shaped space 21 formed between this clutch surface 20a and an inner peripheral surface 5c of the inner race member 5.
